Changing Gutsy screen resolutions does not work on my computer.
Gutsy incorrectly chooses 1920x1440 at 61Hz and although I see options
to change such, when I click "apply" nothing happens.

not xinerama). As soon as I switch back from another user, the screens
go blank (light gray). I can usually still switch back to the previous

I upgraded from Feisty to Gutsy using the gnome tool (in Ubuntu
Desktop), without having any problem. But when I work in KDE, it always
offers me to upgrade. The upgrade process is not completed, because it
later identifies that the system

When I try to update from version 7.04 to 7.10 through update manager,
at the end of the files download, when the updater is preparing the
installation (file 1064 of 1064).
The error message is:
"Failed to fetch

Same problem here -> using official release on an updated system. Tried
all the fixes suggested above, none are working for me still only got 2
workspaces. Please let me know to fix as it!

I notice this error message in the Xorg.0.log:

Does this definitely occur when the screensaver is set to just blank, or
if it's set to random? There are some 3D screensavers and I'm wondering
if one of these could be triggering a 3D bug in Intel? If so,

It seems to correct the problem for me (synaptic was using a local
server in Finland (that's where I am) by default) - now the upgrade
seems to proceed normally.

Well, now I've been testing lyx from the repository on Gutsy AMD64 with
Nvidia 6600 and nvidia-glx-new as well as nvidia-glx. I can confirm this
annoying behaviour. Scrolling is unacceptable slow. So it seems to be an
nvidia related issue because on my Thinkpad with ati x1400 and fglrx
8.37 lyx wor

I have the same problem.
Tried evolution 2.10 for 1st time and it loses my config after every
logout.
Please reopen this is clearly a bug.
