there. Shame. Fortunately, I came up with a solution: using acrobat reader 7
from the medibuntu repository does work. It's the only pdf viewer which prints
landscape documents correctly in kubuntu 7.10.

Works fine on Latitude D630 after compiling alsa 1.0.15 and adding options
snd-hda-intel model=dell-m42 in /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base. Microphone doesn't
seem to work, but may have picked the wrong input device.
Without model=dell-m42, the sound keeps getting louder until the volume is
changed.
I'm changing the status to "Fix released", since xdvi is working fine
again for me in texlive-base-bin 2007-12ubuntu3. Please feel free to
change the status if it isn't working for you, though.

in the initramfs, it's the fact that it overlaps with sym53c8xx driver
on two PCI IDs. Adding cpqarray explicitly to /etc/*/modules forces the

megaraid_sas driver works on install cd, not in

So, it appears that if the viewer is intelligent enough to rotate the
document before sending it out to print, it's all ok, but if the viewer
relies on ghostscript to do the work (like kpdf, acroread v8 and even

Hi.
I had the same problem, but a different card. Mine is a Belkin f7010,
version 7 or 7000 (same thing). In Fiesty, I got it to work just by
following these instructions:

Generally people always look for some thing out of the box.. What
ever it may be. OS is also the same. MS have a strategy of giving
whatever people want and they get good backup also from all the
Equipment manufacturers. It is a fact that OS and drivers will grow by
complimenting each other.
I did the install with the (hd8) option set. I got a fatal error during
the grub_install phase.
