I'm sorry I was imprecise in a point: when I enable proprietary nvidia
drivers I correctly get the GDM login screen but after I enter my
credentials the screen blanks and after a couple of seconds I return to

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu
better. It looks like your problem may be related to bug 145012, which was
solved recently. Could you please try to do the installation using the Release
Candidate CD an report if that works correctly?

Yes, they've actually made it usuable just in time.
However, all of your comments are still valid, except about the default size.
The list is still inconsidered, and most of these extensions return too many
results to be usefull.

Interesting, it crashed around 10 secs after it reported there wasn't
enough space and started to delete a program to make room. Are you
always running with hardly any disk space left in which case, this isn't
the problem. However if it only crashes when your full thats prob it.

Whoops, totally forgot: The card worked out of the box in Dapper, and
worked with ndiswrapper in Breezy, Edgy and Feisty... there seems to be
some kind of regression ;)

I tried the same situation with the Gutsy RC.
The shutdownscreen appears a few seconds too late, before there is
another false image, not the same as in the beta, it consists of
paragraphs and sqares. (I will make an image if it helps)

MOZILLA_FIVE_HOME.
The value to set into ubuntu is:

Where are the error messages that you are talking about? The 'dmesg'
output doesn't look complete. In my case, error messages appear after
the 'NET: Registered protocol family ..' line and read:

what version of acrobat do you use? upstream states it doesn't work with
