150099 for this - didn't see this one.
I tried the -server kernel also: same error. This also happens with 64

I could reproduce this problem with ekiga 2.0.9. The problem is solved in ekiga
2.0.11, but the upgrade to 2.0.11 has been "hanging" in update-manager for more
then a week. It turned out there is a dependency problem: libopal-2.2.0 was
installed on my system, but the new ekiga depends on libopal
I reckon this error happens when corresponding linux-image package has
been removed before linux-ubuntu-modules is purged. linux-ubuntu-modules
.postrm shouldn't be doing depmod or update-initramfs anymore in this
case. You can probably workaround this issue by manually creating
/lib/modules/2.6.22

I just installed the Beta of Ubuntu 7.10 today, and I still had to
manually add the following line to /etc/modprobe.d to get sound :
options snd-hda-intel model=uniwill-m31
So either, those patch have not been integrated in the kernel used by
Ubuntu 7.10, or they are not working.

RIght, forcing 24bit colour with: X_COLOR_DEPTH=24 in /etc/lts.conf did
the trick.
I think the nv driver should know about this, and force Riva 128s into

Bug 146956 has some extra logs, unfortunately I neither catched the
/var/lb/dpkg/updates/... file. I fixed the installation with manually
sudo dpkg -i:ing the python-apt package in /var/cache/apt/archives/ and
then sudo dpkg --configure -a.

with the recent update in gutsy to 195 the ati driver stopped working
for me period, 194 would freeze X occasionally, but with 195 i simply
get a grey screen that is flickering. Disabling DRI and GLX didnt fix
the problem. The hardware works with the vesa driver. the settings are
1024x768 at 24 bit

As far as I remember most of keys were working on 7.04 and after update
to 7.10 but stopped to work after next updates of 7.10. To make some of
keys working on 7.04 (especially multimedia keys such as "

Today I installed Gusty to my hard disk drive. (by the way: it's great.)
But wireless lan ipw3945 is still really slow in downloading stuff from
local area network or internet.
modinfo ipw3945 shows version 1.2.2mp.ubuntu1. it seems to be the most actual
driver.
but modinfo ieee80211 returns git-
901 - 1000 of 1535 matches
