This notebook have a broken DSDT table, as result Fn+F6 button does not
work at all. There are two possible solution for a problem:
* ping ASUS for bugfix (i post a bug, but get "Linux is not supported")
* fix DSDT table manually according to this post, then patch your kernel to
support DSDT load

The problem is fixed for me in Gutsy Tribe 5. My wired ethernet
interface is up when I log in the GUI. Before I had to use the network
manager applet and pick "wired interface" for it to come up.

Here, Thailand. Many computers sell with Windows in past but now, some

The following entry in /boot/grub/menu.lst resulted in a beautiful
highres console with Debian Etch. With Ubuntu it makes console switching
impossible because Ctrl+Alt+F1 etc. results in a messed up screen
content. Fortunately Ctrl+Alt+F7 brings back the GUI.
