With either of the options above the glxgears GART error seems to disappear - however the screensavers still frequently freeze within the window soon after selection.
The screensavers will not now preview fullscreen - i believe one of the many updates has caused this - so i cannot test the mouse over the previous,next and fullscreen buttons. (one of the few things that always seemed to cause the screensavers to freeze) Could the AGP aperture size setting in bios be responsible?
