I noticed that 2.6.22-10 is now available, so I thought I'd try this
again. The behavior is similar to 2.6.22-8: when the fglrx module is
installed, I see a hang on suspend-to-ram, and must force power-off by
holding down the power button. With fglrx blacklisted, suspend and
resume are both fine.
Still happens with 2.6.22-10...

Thank you again, fishor !
I have just tried the latest Gutsy Gibbon LiveCD : my scanner did not work at

Then I have tried what fishor proposed on 2007-07-13

The path taken by Ubuntu (including all variants) development will block
this. The new X's and the work done on universally working automatic
detection and configuration tools will be preferred in any case. They
should also achieve better results :-)

Still two warnings to work out:
W: flightgear source: debian-rules-ignores-make-clean-error line 38
W: flightgear source: debian-rules-ignores-make-clean-error line 39
You should try to use a debian/install file and remove the two calls in
debian/rules which install the desktop file and icon.

I'm running Gusty on a DELL Latitude D620 notebook with a docking
station. After the latest update (to 2.6.22-10-generic), I can only
control the built-in speaker of the notebook - a speaker connected to
the docking stations stays mute. Before the updated, I couldn't control
the volume of a speaker
Btw - the known issue is specific to 64-bit systems. I've marked
several bugs as dupes of this one. If anyone subscribed to this bug is
*not* on 64-bit, let me know - in those cases it's probably a different
issue and we should de-dupe it.

Do you think Canonical's commercial repository or some other solution
might come to help with these? Ie. building "restricted drivers manager"
for these problematic printer drivers.
