The problem is that this version breaks one of Rails's servers. Mongrel
does not run correctly unless ruby is at 1.8.6.
Mongrel keeps trying to patch Ruby because of the version problem. On
my Ubuntu system, that patch is not working correctly, and I am not able
to serve my Rails application.

IMHO the Debian bug report was prematurely closed. Cifs should be able
to be mounted just like any other FS. So if I have a cifs entry in fstab
with the option 'users', I should be able to mount/umount as a normal
user, regardless of who owns the mount point. That is how it works with
other filesys

of io is such that the machine is only barely usable - switching windows

It seems the packaging for compizconfig-python is a bit of a mess. The
rules file contains a rule for a package that's no longer built, it
doesn't call dh_pythoncentral, and so the ${python:Depends} variable
never gets substituted, among other things.

Resolve problem, I had to edit the xconfigure and add:
Load "dri"
Section "DRI"
Mode 0666
EndSection
which was not included in the drivers for NVIDIA

I agree with this RFE, I installed colorgcc in the hopes it would
colourize my gcc output.
Just installing it doesn't appear to be enough
So far I'm trying:
alias gcc='colorgcc'
export CC="gcc"
I'm not sure if this is the "right" way to go though...

When installing Drupal5 in Gutsy Tribe 3, Drupal exits with error status 10.
I have to sudo dpkg-reconfigure drupal5 before I can get it working.
Also, during install, it doesn't ask what database to use, it just exits out.
