The 2.6.22 kernel from kernel.org gives me the same error message as
above, but applying the flow control patch gives me a working headset. I
haven't tried patching the Gutsy kernel, but this suggests that my guess

This also happens on my Thinkpad r60e, I often get the dialog popping up
and showing me the brightness without changing it. Occasionally it sets
itself to fully dimmed without actually dimming the display. Recently
the dialog has also refused to disappear.

When I try to choose protocols, I can't use ICA because it is grey and
not chooseable.
I tried an apt-get remove --purge and reinstalled tsclient, but the
problem stays the same.

from the beryl manager menu.

Also beryl is discontinued, you can try compiz-fusion and see if you can
reprod

Binary package hint: evolution
When using Evolution 2.11.6.1-0ubuntu1 in Gutsy Gibbon, the menus
respond very slowly when I browse them with the mouse. Particularly it
seems that Evolution is locking up the entire desktop for a few seconds.

since todays update fullscreen toggle doesnt cause crash
However with compiz enabled still a pause for a second every few seconds

I've tried out the command line. Same behavior. It only works if gxine is
running. Many things are printed on the command line but no error or warning
message.
It happens to all the mpg1 videos I produced myself using adobe premiere. here

I don't think this solution really works in my circumstance, which is
that I use Winbind with PAM/NSS for *all* user's logons. Because my
systems are joined to a domain and are standard desktop machines.
I would need to add *all* users to this group. This is not very
practical.
