still in development, it makes sense to update to the latest version.
Feisty is three versions behind
after the latest freetype update, Epiphany seems to be nice and pretty
again, but gnome-terminal is still fugly as sin.

More information on this, for my system.
THe problem seems to be the onboard audio. I disabled the audio chipset
in the BIOS and the freezes went away. No clue if it's something silly
with the hardware or the kernel, but since I'm guessing Windows works
fine on the mobo, at the very least there'

root partition, since I deleted and re-added the file /boot/grub/default
on a large partition. I'm not qualified when it comes to file systems,

Just installed Xubuntu on my Vaio VGN-SZ3XWP laptop. Suspend to mem
using the 'echo -n "mem" > /sys/power/state' doesn't come back to life
when resuming. I had a hunch it was something to do with framebuffer so
I recompiled the kernel turning off all framebuffer stuff under
William Grant, it's still happening. Today, in fact.
I just added a comment on Bug #102434, an alleged duplicate of this bug,
where I was upgrading from the previous Ubuntu version. This was a
32-bin system, if it matters. I wouldn't say that it was fixed, unless
you didn't put it out on the up

I have the same issues as described above. Running a clean install of 7.04
x86_64. Fakeraid 0 on an intel ICH7R controller.
When booting my / is not found, and after some time i get dumped to the
initfsram prompt. "ls /dev/mapper/" does not list my raid, and only "control".
Running "dmraid -ay"
On one of the duplicate bugs it is mentioned that using "lock screen"
before using "switch user" also works around the bug. This is very
curious, but I can verify that the bug does not appear if the previous
session is locked first.

I've been running ubuntu for some time, and just recently got the error
18 at bootup. Changed the LBA setting in the bios, and now getting

requires java 5. With openjdk coming I'm guessing this is no longer an issue.

I have to confirm this problem. Same Hardware (Asus a6tc). The problem
only exists when using X. It is not related to the ubuntu kernel, but
exists also for non ubuntu kernels including 2.6.21. It seems that the
NIC-module (R8169) crashes. Due to IRQ-sharing of NIC and graphics
adaptor the whole sy
