The hdaps driver in mainline Linux is broken on recent ThinkPad models, and
unreliable on older models.
Use the modified hdaps driver bundled with tp_smapi

team about this bug. Basically it centers around whether winbindd_cache
should be in /var/cache or not. Upstream thinks not, Debian thinks it
should be.
winbindd_cache is a cache. But it is a cache which cannot be safely
deleted

tracker 0.6) is packaged and built in Ubuntu.

I experience the same behaviour as Yuttadhammo in Gutsy (using Gnome

For me this bug only occur for setrlimit (RLIMIT_AS, &rl) line 484,

removable drives detects an unmounted filesystem, and mounts it. It

This is definitely a bug then.
The work around is to decide which package's version of /usr/bin/rbqtapi
you want to keep (it may not matter), install the package that has the
one you don't want, then sudo rm /usr/bin/rbqtapi, and install the
second. That should work.
