I don't see how a situation that causes data loss with the simple act of
hibernate/resume is a feature request...
It would work to just update the default kernel for grub in the shutdown
scripts instead of on package upgrade.

dell inspiron 8500.
2. I created a launcher in my desktop for launching Nautlus

hardware drivers..." and sometimes it will hang, with the message "Error
receiving uevent message: no buffer space available". At this point I
have to hold down the power button on my laptop and try again.

uninstalled totem-gstreamer & installed totem-xine & vice-versa I tried playing
a 700 MB .avi file. While neither of them played the file (from within

Actually, it seems your card should be able to run compiz. You have
both Composite and OpenGL support, maybe from the new driver versions in
Gutsy.
However, there is clearly some problem with compiz on your card, which
should be cleared up.
