In any other qt based text component I can insert those characters by pressing the corresponding key, single quote for instance, followed by a space keystroke. This behaviour is ok, and only happens when using US-International keyboard layout (since this keyboard layout is intended to let users to insert accented vowels), and is the only way I know I can get the quote characters ( ' and " ). The only exception occurs when using tora, at the SQL Editor, which is qscintilla based (afaik).
