I will attach new Logfiles - this time from the mapping daemon and from
nautilus, which is utilizing libmapping.so. I finally realized that I

After reading the report about what is needed to fix the Toshiba ALC268
it does not look specific to Toshiba per say. It appears that some
systems either initialize more of the ALC268 in their BIOS or just
happen to work without the setup. But the setup that is supposed to fix

I had this problem on a desktop with "Asus P5B-E Plus" motherboard and E6600
Intel processor. It seems to be cured when I "enabled" in the lastest bios
(v.05xx) the ACPI 2.0 option. The screen flashs at the point where it stopped
before but the UBUNTU logo is redisplayed again and it ends co

I have the exact same crash with 'listen' (another audio player) while doing
similar action. Exact same gdb stack.
So it may not be exaile's or listen's fault. Maybe it's firefox, maybe gobject,

Bad news, I just happen to encounter this bug about the repeat rate
while using my custom kernel 2.6.22. It's the first time it happens
since almost 3 weeks, and it still happens about 30 times per hour when
I boot into the 2.6.20-16 official kernel from Feisty. So it is
probably kernel related,
I have uninstalled the patched version that I have been running and

Here's a workaround that has been working for me for a couple of weeks.
Add the following to /etc/rc.local, replace /dev/hdc with your CD/DVD's device
node.
hal-disable-polling --device /dev/hdc
Caveat:
You will need to manually mount your CD/DVD (for example: pmount /media/cdrom ).
Once mounted
for those following the method of extracting the necessary libwfb file
from the nVidia .run package but can't find the 64bit package for the
relevant version (1.0-9755), the file is located behind the nVidia site
at http://www.nvidia.com/object/linux_display_amd64_1.0-9755.html

I do not see the problem anymore.. It seems that it is caused by character set
change, although it sounds strange, because
the file name Thumbs.db does not contain any non-ascii characters.. or it was
fixed by some feisty update,I do not know...

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear enough. Yes I know that prefixing a . to a
name makes it a hidden file. However, I have nautilus set to view hidden
files so my complaint is not that the file "disapears" and I can't open
it. The bug that occurs prevents the use of ENTER or DOUBLE-LEFT-CLICK

I am not sure if I should make a different bug report or use this one. I
have added my HP printers with HPLIP-Toolbox and everything works fine.
To save ink I normally choose the draf printing mode in default printer
settings. If I do this in gnome printer settings it seems to be saved
but wasn't u

actually i asked for a list of plugins that work (sorry for the typo
asking for extensions). you can test by linking them to your
~/.mozilla/plugins/ directory.
i tested totem and it *should* crash firefox with an unresolved symbol.
If it works for you, please let me know if you are on feisty or g
left-click on the toolbar and it will scroll right or up
right-click on the toolbar and it will scroll left or up
And because this is annoying and unintuitive, It's addressed in the new
vncviewer in Gutsy that uses GTK toolbars
(mark as fixed upstream?)
