Hi Soren, can you use a stock kernel and turn TSO off with ethtool:
sudo ethtool -k eth0
See if TCP Segment Offloading is on, if it is, turn it off with

Well actually I got these package installed since dapper, I found on the
www.ubuntu-fr.org wiki how to install nspluginwrapper when it was not in
Ubuntu's repositories.
I pretty well know that acrobat plugin is not supported by Ubuntu, but
the use I make of nspluginwrapper, is to use 32 bit plugin

I just tried to reproduce the bug on an install of feisty and did not
see it. When I open the second file gedit received focus. I am not
running compiz on this install.
