Same problem here. First amarok used to freeze when loading it. After
that, I realized my sound card was not being detected( an on board AC97,

icon set. Crystal isn't SVG but KDE fails to read SVG icons even in
hicolour where the index.theme file does include scalable directories.

Hi Jeremy,
Thanks for reporting this bug, and yes you're right we should avoid
situations that result in blank screens. I plan to work on installer
bugs in future weeks and will take a deeper look into the feasibility of
removing the pci detection.
Meanwhile, there are a couple other approaches
Bayla, you enter those three lines in a Terminal window, that's it. Or
to upgrade your kernel, use Update Manager.

Ok, this is my xorg.conf at the moment. I have ubuntu up and running
with the vesa driver, but I've just enabled the fglrx in the restricted
driver modules. At this point, if i restart, Feisty freezes on startup.

Ah, right. The source was there, but it wasn't compiling against 2.6.22
so it wasn't enabled.
I've updated to btsco-0.5 and things are compiling. This will be

Confirmed for Feisty i386.
What is interesting is that the crash occurs when USER CLOSES the application,
and even more: the document recoverer opens a blank Writer when the program
that crashed was Impress.
The crash occurs after manipulating the document or viewing in slide show mode,
not just
