*** This bug is a duplicate of bug 49827 *** https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/49827
Thanks for reporting the problem. This is a known issue, and fixes are already in the works. Marking this a dupe. For a preview, if you wish to assist with testing, please `sudo apt-get install displayconfig-gtk` and run `sudo displayconfig-gtk`. Alternately, if you wish to test the new automatic resolution detection, move your /etc/X11/xorg.conf aside and restart X, and see if it detects the correct resolution. Both of these solutions are still developmental and work for only a small proportion of cases, which is why they're not rolled out generally, however your testing feedback on them would be useful to have. You're right that this is a high-priority issue we hope to resolve for gutsy. ** This bug has been marked a duplicate of bug 49827 Available resolutions incompletely set to 1024x768, 800x600, 640x480 -- Dell Latitude X1 Screen Resolution https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/117222 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is the bug contact for Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
