If a configuration file says that it shouldn't start it's not an error. It's
behaviour by design.
I can see, though, that the reason it doesn't start should perhaps be more
obvious.

I can at least reduce the clicking frequency from previously 5 seconds,
which was extremely annoying, to now may be once per minute or even

I just got a crash with the "abort" signal.
I told Adept to update while it was already installing packages. It

The current emacs-snapshot package has been discontinued in
debian/unstable. Romain Francoise, debian maintainer and upstream
devloper feels a bit insulted that debian requests him to remove
documentation because of its license (GFDL). The package has been
removed from debian/

Right. I'm working through Debian Python Modules Team packages to see if
there are Ubuntu diffs we can retire and python-celementtre for Python 2.5
didn't go over well.
This package should go away in the longer term and so I don't think we
should carry an Ubuntu diff to build for 2.5. If the

I got gnome-background-properties to work. I did the following:
mv ~/Wallpapers ~/Wallpapers2 (my personal background images directory under
home directory)
rm ~/.thumbnails/normal/*
After that gnome-background-properties have worked for me.
