Thakns. If it is GNOME then it's something about the way that GNOME and vino

application. Itś small, intuitive to work with, is under active
development, integrates well with the Gnome desktop.

The internal eject functionality doesn't work for my NEC AD-7170S DVD-RW drive
(SATA).
The indicated workaround works like a charm, but I agree with Timothy Smith
that mythtv should use /usr/bin/eject by default.

I was disappointed to discover my modem was broken after my Feisty
upgrade from Edgy, on an IBM T41p. Manually installing the latest
drivers from http://linmodems.technion.ac.il/packages/smartlink/fixed

1) All of my systems (3) experience this issue
2) I have this issue with the following devices:
3 20 gig USB hard drives formatted with ext3
1 64 meg USB key formatted with vfat
3) pmount works
4) Some of the volumes have labels some do not
5) All have different passw

For me it does not work yet. No sound what so ever. I am using ubuntu feisty
fawn in a toshiba laptop P105 s6024 with the same sound card. But it does not

So it seems your new user is already a member of the admin group. All you need
to do is to add the new user to the audio group.

After booting Ubuntu from the live cd I clicked on the restricted manager icon.
Then I enabled the ATI driver (aka fglrx). It prompted me to reboot but I
didn't.
I clicked on the install icon to install Ubuntu.

Same problem for me, seems to be limited to mp3's so the regression
could be in the mad decoder. Then again, I don't have an extensive
collection of Vorbis or other files, so I can't confirm. Chipset is an
onboard Intel AC'97 (non-HD).

Strike that, problem persists after decoding mp3 to wav using lame, so
the problem is indeed in VLC's audio output. Hope this gets fixed, this
bug ought to be marked high as it makes VLC unusable.

PLEASE HELP!
This solution has not worked for me at all. I have the same sound card in a
TOSHIBA P105 S6024 and no luck. If you need any information, please tell me. I
