Thanks for the answer; I did switch, but actually did not experience any
printing problems except with a very large pdf file (2.5 mb). When I
tried to print that, gs loaded up the processor, but it wasn't able to
chew it through. I had to empty the printer queue.

Bug #8107 seems to deal with being unable to change the default

I experienced the same problem a few weeks before. With every reboot my
soundcards (2xpci) changed position randomly.
As proposed also in Bug #8107, I edited /etc/modutils/alsa-base and
changed my second soundcard to

Have the same issue running Beryl, although I have been able to "escape" when
previewing in Screensaver Preferences, but not when the screensaver is running
full-screen.
All other screensavers work fine.
Alt-Ctrl-Backspace doesn't work, have to reset.

Confirmed in various systems with Feisty Fawn and XGL+Beryl activated.
Possibly caused by the ATI driver, as no problem seen in nVidia
configurations. Tested with Ubuntu x86 and Ubuntu EMT64. There was no
problem with the EMT64 version, so only seen in x86 architecture -maybe
a hint?
