Thanks for your bugreport.
Do you have a regular ubuntu system installed? It should launch the
"yelp" help browser on a gnome system. Do you use kde or xubuntu?

Same bug for me with an Acer Aspire 1692WLMi and a Samsung Spinpoint M80 120GB
IDE (not the original hard disk of the computer).
See bug #104581 for some other reports of this very annoying bug (since this
bug makes the hard disk to corrupt data on all the partitions..)

returns GNOME_VFS_ERROR_GENERIC instead of GNOME_VFS_ERROR_FILE_EXISTS

When I install the gutenprint package from OpenPrinting, I get an
/opt/gutenprint directory with all files of the driver inside. Strange
is now how this directory (or parts of it) get lost later.
You also see which files get installed by the gutenprint package from
OpenPrinting if you enter a comm
Perhaps we should change the title of this bug now to
"Problems with third-party packages which install in /opt"
As /opt is forseen for third-party packages every distro must be capable
of having stuff installed in /opt.
