Same bug for me with an Acer Aspire 1692WLMi and a Samsung Spinpoint M80 120GB IDE (not the original hard disk of the computer). See bug #104581 for some other reports of this very annoying bug (since this bug makes the hard disk to corrupt data on all the partitions..)
