yes, the patch for dapper needs to redone from scratch but in order for me to
test, I need to fix another blocker that was fixed in edgy SRU but not dapper
related to loading firmwares from initramfs.
Until i can't sort that blocker, my tests would be incomplete.

I've been having this problem since I started trying FIesty. Disabled hiding
the SSID and Network Manager was able to connect. Otherwise, NM would sit at
28% and timeout eventually.

I was in a mess after this happened to me. KDE was only half installed,
I have no idea what state everything else is in. I reinstalled KDE, but
kdeinit was still missing a bunch of libs. After reloading each of
these I have KDE up and runnning again...o and startkde was no longer
being called.

memo and contacts work, but hangs when trying to sync the To Do list
from the test unit. Turning off the conduit will make things work again.

Using MergedFB with Matrox G450 CPI card, the desktop starts in clone
mode.
Xorg.0.log contains the message:
(EE) MGA(0): HALLib not loaded! NOT using "Merged Framebuffer" mode.
I only tested this on feisty.

Anyway, after a few rounds of updates in Synaptic the Update Manager now
thinks my system is up to date. Only problem that remained was a bug in
xorg.conf, where my ATI card was listed as ChipId 0x71c5. Changing to
0x71c4 got X working again, so now everything looks fine.

I'm experiencing the same problem consistently on an IBM T30 model
2366-97U with a clean install (not an upgrade) from the desktop
installer release of Feisty (not a beta) to a new 40gb hard disk drive
using the basic installation defaults.

I experienced the same problem when I upgraded from edgy to feisty. I
switched to KDM and that worked for me. But now I get a black screen on
log out. I think it is because I am using the proprietary ATI drivers. I
had to set GDM autorestart to true to get rid of the black screen I
