I have something abit more serious to report in this context; today, in #Ubuntu
@ DALnet, I was asked why someone couldn't boot Feisty from the live-cd. I
asked him to describe his problems, and he told me that as soon as X was about

I second the move to the new version. Also the quality of the package

favor of /usr/sbin/update-grub. Unfortunately the update-grub manpage

I have installed ubuntu feisty final, and then the kubuntu-desktop. I
played for a while with gnome and compiz and then started kde. Now I
cant change my resolution to 1280x1024.

I have nvidia-glx and linux-restricted-modules-2.6.20-generic installed.
When I select nvidia as driver in xorg.conf it loads nv_drv instead and
my system hangs upon starting xorg. The screen goes blank and locks up.
Rebooting and selecting nv as driver works.

upgrade while it is still in the process of downloading the files and
has not yet started installing them. However, the Kubuntu Edgy to
Feisty upgrader does not offer any way of
