Upon reboot (network-manager 0.6.4-6ubuntu6), I have full network access
that actually appears to be _managed_ fine by NM, but the NM applet
_reports_ that I'm offline.
Selecting "Wired Network" makes the applet disconnect/reconnect, and

I can confirm the bug on edgy. Moreover, I tried to compile the package

I have a Dell Inspiron 6400 with an ATI Radeon X1300. The biggest
problem I had was that the VESA driver could not find a resolution for
the display. I ended up using the Feisty alternate CD image to at least
get a prompt. Then I installed the ATI fglrx drivers.

This seems to be a problem that is caused by some classes of package
upgrade (would have to look at the list of recently-upgraded packages,
which I don't know how to obtain) and goes away when you reboot.

I am also seeing this issue same issue on Edgy. Have edgy kernel
packaged pinned since I have compiled my own 2.6.20 kernel. All updates
show in update-manager, even though they show as pinned in synaptic.

whole installation process without any problem, but afterwards the boot
process of the installed system stopps with the message "Starting ACPI

Thanks for the info about the Launchpad builds. Because many people
having these ACPI problems will also be using the proprietary nvidia
modules (most or all Mac Pro users), or other packages tied to the

NabLa: Ditto that, when I remove /etc/network/interfaces and restart
NetworkManager and NetworkManagerDispatcher, it suddenly works and nm-
