head and dri/glx enabled) and it seems to work, I have tried fuhquake
(GLX version) with good results. glxgears still prints out "libGL

I have tested on Feisty. This is the output if I stop syslogd
beforehand. Wtf is going on with pdflush? I have 768mb of RAM and only
1/3 is in use, from what I understand that thing is there to flush
processes to the hard drive? Oh yeah, and my computer was completely
idle while doing the tests.

Similar experiences here. I had filled a pair of 320GB SATA drives with
5 RAID 1 partitions during an Ubuntu 6.10 install (ia32), then went to
install 7.04 AMD64 Beta as an alternate boot option. When the
partitioner loaded I selected manual partitioning.

A little more info: mdz thinks this is related to the fact that I
installed 4.10 (Warty) originally on this machine, and have only
upgraded at every release since then. Since Warty is the only fresh
install I've ever done, I have always been in the adm group and never in
the admin group. For som

I can mitigate this by getting rid of the duplicate warnings when
committing partitioning changes. Consolidating the multiple dialogs into
one is unfortunately hard just at the moment for reasons related to
translations.
