Trying to burn an .iso... I'm having the same bug in Xubuntu 7.04 Beta Unstable.
It used to work in Xubuntu 6.10 Unstable.
Luckily the "cdrecord -v image.iso" command worked for me.
Xfburn simply does nothing. It just sits and waits until I press the
Close button. No errors.
I'm getting this erro
as I said in the main thread for this error: in the newest versions of
feisty (I tested only 2.6.20-13 kernel, it works perfectly. I tested
Network-Manager with WEP and Kismet successful ;)

There are three issues here:
1. madwifi in Dapper allowed for the standard tools to change the mode, it
is no longer the case in Edgy: you need wlanconfig
2. wlanconfig was not supplied in Edgy
3. a hand-compiled version of the tool did not yield a working setup

You can see some of the kernel messages by pressing ALT-F1 (before the
crash of course) or, even better, disable usplash and increase the
verbosity altogether by deleting QUITE SPLASH from the command line.

I can install the package with

So, with the update of acpi and hal right now, I had to add
SUSPAND2RAM_FORCE="yes" to /etc/powersave/sleep , and I had to look around in
the logs, so I found out how the script needs to be added to
/usr/lib/powersave/scripts/sleep_helper_functions somehow . Also, s2ram changed

Was able to get tightvncserver working with fluxbox on Feisty. When I
tried to use gnome I got a desktop allright, but the keys in the
keyboard were mixed up.
Would be nice to get gnome to work with the latest and fastest VNC.
Vino works but doesn't count because it must be manually started.
