Does anyone know how to time how long it takes for an application to
launch? I know how to test how much CPU time an application takes to
execute and halt, but nothing about "measure the CPU time until the
program spikes down in CPU usage" or similar.
Also, is this a problem with KDE applications

Just running the Dist Upgrade Tool now, and it's hung towards the end.

This is the core dump, compressed with bzip2. It is 327 MB
uncompressed, but only 12 MB compressed, and my upstream bandwidth would
make it very hard to upload the uncompressed version. Sorry if that
causes any inconvenience in accessing the core dump.

There's a kernel oops in the syslog that the kernel team should look at.

Is the driver committed yet? I see that the r8187 driver is in the r818x
folder. This is not the same as the r818x driver because I believe the
r8187 is for USB wireless as stated by dieguito.
