I do not know if there is any gnome-rule concerning other-than-right-
clicks in menues ... I never noticed such possiblity in any program,
even though it sounds like a good idea.

After this, I fetched ubiquity v1.4.3, saved to /tmp and opened from there
using "add remove programs". Then tried "install" icon again, but got the
same errors. Does the "add / remove programs" work when in livecd mode? If not
then how does anyone fix the installer?

I just installed Feisty Fawn beta. I chose Finnish keyboard layout for
myself, but after booting up the system only US English was available in
Keyboard management application.
The workaround was to (re)set Finnish keyboard layout in Keyboard
management application.
