** Description changed:
After starting up I get this message In Ubuntu Feisty:
[quote] Network service discovery disabled.
Your current network has a .local domain which is not recommended and
incompatible with the avahi network service discovery. The service has
been disabled. [/q
I can confirm this on Ubuntu 6.10.
The synchronisation did work after checking and unchecking the "Keep
clock synchronized with internet servers", installing the suggested
packages and clicking on "Synchronize now". It would be nice if the
"Synchronize now" button worked out-of-the-box.

With the kernel 2.6.20-12.20, the module acpi_cpufreq is no longer
loaded automatically on boot. Nonetheless, inserting manually the module

It worked fine with the first version of 2.6.20-12 kernel.
I have a centrino dothan system.

Binary package hint: nautilus
SUMMARY
If a file or a folder is selected in Nautilus and you accidently press
Delete button, they are moved to the Trash.
NO warning is issued (even though in Nautilus Preferences "Ask before
emptying the Trash or deleting files" is selected )
I can confirm this too on Ubuntu Feisty Beta. OpenOffice.org asks for
password, but then spits out message about internet error and asks for
password again, for uknown address this time.
