well, this bug report had been on suspend/hibernate problems with audio,
and now I can't say whether this is solved because I don't have any
sound in the first place.

Timo, patch 8746 was for current git, this patch would not be correct
(or apply at all) for Edgy. For Edgy I had to use patch 7409 (which
didn't help for git) and I had to adjust the patch a little to apply it

Thanks to everyone for replying. I went on holiday the day after
posting this bug. In the end, I found a workaround on the forums
changing the ownership of the device on a singular basis to plugdev...it
then worked like a treat. When the update is fixed can I just install
this automatically?

This is a screenshot of a broken notification without the DejaVu fonts
installed. Installing the DejaVu fonts is a simple workaround. But
having the same font installed twice (DejaVu&Vera) is silly.
Banshee shouldn't hardcode this font!

I have a self-coded C++ application that uses sdl-ttf. For some reason it
causes a undefined symbol error when trying to render text:

Banshee does not hard code any fonts. There's not even a way to do that
with the notification APIs. Banshee literally just sends the string of
text for what is currently playing. I doubt this is a Banshee issue -
does the correct text show up in the track information area in the main
Banshee UI?

just a quick clarification: i think i'm all set with regard to the
