Cestulia's workaround from comment #59 worked here too (Gigabyte 965P-

For packaged programs, feisty's apport does not *ever* save core dumps,
because /proc/sys/kernel/core_pattern now points to a pipe instead of a
file.

In my case, setting tookbar to hide becomes in a white window.
As a workaround do this:
- Open gconf-editor
- Go to /apps/gthumb/ui
- Set the key "toolbar_visible"

I enabled it under the recent Control Center interface ,,, now that the
Herd is using menus for Preference and Administration (Control Center is
gone) I don't remember how I had enabled it.
But it does work now. So I guess that is the end of it.

OK, with window contents not being drawn with window effects, you must turn one
option off.
I think it's that:

Feisty on amd64. I have seen this message while booting any kernel in Feisty.
It seemed to be harmless. After update to the recent kernel
(linux-image-2.6.20-10-generic), there is a problem:
Kernel panic - not syncing: IO-A
Ok, This was because I updated the kernel but not the restricted modules
(they weren't available at the time...)
After rebooting into the old kernel and re-updating, the new restricted
modules were installed and my wireless now works fine again...
It seems from the forums that other people were a

drivers (downloaded form nvidia).
I'll try the build in kernelmodules for nvidia (not nv in xorg) later.

The file created by Firefox was not CoreDump.gz but
_usr_lib_firefox_firefox-bin.1000.crash, it was in /var/crash.

It would be great if gnome-volume-properties could offer an option to
automatically turn on/off the touchpad when a mouse is attached/removed.
Today i'ts possible to specify a command to run when a mouse is plugged
in. I use:

You have to add edgy-proposed repository to /etc/apt/sources.list and issue
