Actually both work, you can see a status message when configure
completes that tells if xcb is disabled. It builds but debconf wants to
package the xcb files intead of xlib and fails as they're missing. It
might work to use some files from libx11-1.0.3/debian/ and just change
the version but
'Line' was toggled when I made recording using audacity.
But the other setting is unintentional. I don't even know what it is.
The only input/output I ever use are Line, Mic, Master, PCM.

Purging the contents on /var/lib/apt/lists and

that the partial directory remains and the lock file is untouched).

Btw, this is definitely a new kernel problem, since the problem first
started from Herd-3 and upper. Before it my home machine booted up
perfectly, after that it was unable to boot without "irqpoll" option
given to kernel in grub.

Also kmplayer uses PCM, and I had trouble with it (embedded in
Konqueror) altering PCM volume without my consent. I would appreciate it

I also have an Xgi Volari CP5 card
When booting Edgy or Feisty Herd 5, I get a black screen when X starts
and the system hangs.
Installing Dapper works fine (it uses the vesa driver). After upgrading

I personally don't like "DejaVu Sans Condensed" as the default font in
OpenOffice, because it's "different" and does not match the rest of the
Ubuntu desktop.
If everything else in Ubuntu uses "DejaVu Sans", then why should

But it does not crash when opening a custom XGL session.
The custom XGL session launches Xgl on screen :1 and then executes the command:
exec /etc/X11/Xsession gnome-session,
so I don't really understand what the problem is...

After i added the icq account and was about to add the msn, i got the

if you kill all kopete processes before logout, does this still occur
when you next login? ie, is this a session bug?
Also, do you end up running knetworkmanager, and is that connected?
