liferea-gtkhtml is now deprecated upstream, so you can choose it,
because you don't have it. The package liferea-gtkhtml is just a meta-
package now, which depends on liferea-mozilla, to ease the transition to

1. Connect to server using an authenticated nick
2. Receive message from "NickServ"
3. Click on "Room -> Join New"
4. The "Nickname" textbox has now defaulted to NickServ

does usplash do all the rendering? Directly with its own VGA driver or
through the kernel framebuffer? If it's through the kernel FB, how can I
activate the it without running usplash? - to check which of them is

then we'll be sure if it's really xcb that's the problem and not any
other change in libX11 1.1.

Phil, it's built with --enable-libmad --disable-mp3lib. Maybe you read
it wrong?
MadJo, the "workaround" to use ffmpeg? Since mp3lib is disabled that
should be the default now. Can you please remove the workaround and try
it that's the case.

I used Firefox, Konqueor, and Opera and I got the same results. But
like I said when I came home and started using a wireless connection,
everything, all my web login access sites worked again. I only had the
problem when I went to a wired connection. I should try a wired

I followed the steps outlined in section "Prior Ubuntu versions" in
DebuggingProgramCrash. But there is no mozilla-thunderbird-dbgsym
package. Thunderbird now behaves as before and there is no /var/crash
nor a core dump or something.
