Sure, but if you read the upstream bug in from which the patch came from
it indicates that the true cause for why nsPluginNativeWindowGtk2 was
failing to be destroyed should be searched for and this band-aid removed
when a real fix has been added.

Ubuntu 6.10 installs fine and the laptop SATA chipset is handled correctly by
kernel 2.6.17 through ahci driver.
The problem arises with 7.04 Herd5.
The disc is not found in the installation procedure.
A workaround is:

If we have an IDE drive, is there a way to NOT use libata and to use the
old IDE driver (without having to reinstall)? Perhaps this could serve

I've just hit the same bug on Feisty Herd 5 with todays set of upgrades
(6/3/2007). Is there any other information I can supply to help get this
fixed?
I'm running Kubuntu Feisty Herd5. I tried running the updates by
clicking on the adept notifier icon and through the main adept manager
with ident
CUPS 1.2.8 is also available as Ubuntu package now (for Feisty), but it
did not cause the bug anyway.
