My problem happens only when using the Nvidia proprietary driver - I
need it to enable 3D rendering and use Beryl. However the bug happens
even when Beryl is not running.
Actually the machine doesn't freeze ... when I press ct

the left, applets move around randomly unless you manually move them.
Manually moving applets on the right does *not* fix them.

It am able to precise the problem. In fact, I was using a feisty which was just
a dist-upgrade from Edgy.
Now I installed Feisty from Herd4. No more problems.
So the problem is not a true Feisty Vs Edgy problem, but rather a problem in
the way to upgrade from Edgy to Feisty.

Every time I close F-Spot, it sits there, and then the dialog window
asking if I want to Wait or Force Quit the app pops up. I told it to
Force Quit, and the bug report keeps popping up. I do not know quite why
it is crashing in the first place.

well now it seems that when amarok scans the samba drive :
1. It doesn't complete.
2. The samba share is messed up. : I have several shares from the same
computer, but only the one that amarok was using was inaccessable.
3. The entire system became unresponsive and I had to reboot.

The problem is with splash, disabling this in the grub boot should fix
your problem. While the initial report does mention ATI the problem
occurs with both Nvidia and Ati proprietary drivers. There is also an
option of adding "vga=791" to /boot/grub/men
