I can boot the herd3 desktop cd with 2.6.20-6-generic without problems
though. ls /dev/ shows again hde and hde1..8. being my partitions on my

This time, Rhythmbox didn't crash, but it was completely unresponsive.
Anyway, I hope the backtrace tells you something. Let me know if this is

Thanks for the additional information. If you could add the exact error
that appeared in the message box that would helpful. Even more helpful
would be the kernel error log (/var/log/messages or the output of
'dmesg') showing the sound driver misbehaving. Thanks again.

Thanks for your bug report. Which version of Firefox are you currently
running? You can find out via 'dpkg -l firefox' in a terminal.
Furthermore are you able to copy the data off the disk when using a file
explorer like Nautilus?
