Jaap: which version of Ubuntu are you running? I think you aren't
running feisty, as Seb and me.
In feisty, you just need compiz-core, compiz-plugins and compiz-gnome
(or kde), but not compiz-settings.
If you are running other Ubuntu version, could you tell us which one,
and the compiz version? H

Sorry, I though the crash was in the installed system, once you've
reboot into it, because I also had that problem. So, if the problem
would be that, running that command before installing the system will
install the new package (with the fix), so once you reboot into it, you
won't have

for a while. I don't use all of the sites I was using when I reported
this problem originally, so perhaps I'm not exposing the cause of the

I cannot manually reproduce this, but is has happened twice now. This is
probably a hardware related issue because Edgy kernel started to behave
strange as well.
I recently had to replace my GFX card and fglrx drivers are causing all
sorts of weird issues.

BUG: unable to handle kernel paging
In feisty, if one tries to close the window while the program is
blocked, it unblocks and says something like "unable to determine stream
type". I guess this is because it does not get data, but I do not
understand why. By the way in feisty it has stopped to mute capture by
itself, but the deadlock
