According to linuxprinting.org database the gutenprint driver is the only
driver that can be used for your Epson C86 printer.
I think either the gutenprint driver is slower or some settings can be
changed to make it print faster.

Sorry about not answering earlier. Unfortunately I do not have any of
the files, as I decided to go back to using ubuntu. If I at some point
have the time I'll try kubuntu again, but that will not happen soon. If
nobody else has seen this problem, I'd propose to close it for now.

I think I may have the same problem as this. I have a Compaq Armada M700
and a "D-LINK DWL-G630 AIRPLUS G 54MBPS PC-CARD 802.11G" wifi card for
that.
I haven't been able to configure the card with Edgy, even though it
appears to be detected. For reference, the card works fine with Windows
2000 on
Delete the corresponding file. Update-manager should work again. When
did you upgrade to edgy? The file was created on 19th January. Did you
run "sudo update-manager" on that day? Has it worked before?

When using a dwl-g510 rev c1 from d-link ubuntu dapper uses the rt61
driver, which should be used for the rev c2-cards, not the
rt2500-driver.
Easely reproducable: insert a dwl-g510.c1 card into ubuntu, start up and
run iwconfig. You will see that it uses the rt61-driver... r

Problem fixed. After installing the new plugin I no longer experience
any firefox crashes and can visit the previous problem sites OK.
