Which version of Ubuntu do you use? In the gnome-keybinding-properties
dialog, I can easily click on the "Play/Pause" line, then press the
Play/Pause key on my keyboard and configure it that way. Does that help
somehow? Or is this not possible for you?

Asking to install grub in /dev/sda instead of sd0 resulted in a correct
installation of Ubuntu on an USB esternal drive and grub on it's boot
sector.

Yes, the card itself works, but I have to "ifconfig ra0 down" before I

I get same problem, the stellarium cannot run under ubuntu. It can run
well on Fedora Core.
Stellarium start and the progress bar completed twice and stop at "1/74"
then crashed.

This problem seems to be tied indeed to some value problems in /etc/hosts and
/etc/network/interfaces.
I removed ::1 ip6-localhost ip6-loopback from /etc/hosts and added the lo
loopback reference in /etc/network/interfaces.
I will test things separately to point out which one does what.

I have investigated this and the crashing line appears to be pure
nonsense. It makes invalid assumptions about the in-memory
representation and anyway the semantics it appears to be trying to
implement would be wrong. gs-gpl does not have it.

Same problem for me with an Intel Pentium M t2050 (dual core), 512Mo
DDR2, motherboard based on a VIA VN800 chipset.
It stops during the main installation because it can't find any kernel

Before installing, I upgraded ubiquity to the latest version (1.3.12) and the
install went relatively smoothly.
The only hiccup was when I opted to do manual partitioning, it popped up
qtparted in a separate window. I setup the partitions as needed, then closed
qtparted and went back to the ins
