Upstream 1.1.3 FLAC has this fixed on IA-32 now. I didn't send them a
PPC patch, because I don't know PPC assembly and can't verify the code
myself. Suggest FLAC 1.1.3 in Feisty, close this bug.

I recently upgraded two Ubuntu systems, while the upgrades went well the
"time remaining" counter was so far off it was ridiculous. The tow
laptops (IBM x40/x41) showed the same behavior: the counter clearly has
absolutely no information -
Previous Ubuntu version consisted of grammar fixes to strings what are
no longer in the code. Hence, all Ubuntu changes can be dropped.

I installed mdadm, set up a software RAID in a non-standard
configuration with a non-standard mdadm.conf file.
It broke terribly in Edgy, but the edgy-proposed package resolves these
problems. Using a standard mdadm setup also appears to work.
Approved for upload to edgy-updates on the 12th.

I just discovered this was being caused due to sda1 and sda2 having the
same UUID. I have no idea how this happened, but Grub and the Linux
kernel had differing opinions on which partition to look at for the
jacked up UUID.

As my initial report said, I interrupted it at the Partition Editor
stage (hoping to find a way to load dmraid to install to a Promise
FastTrak FakeRAID 0+1 array).
There was no log - it was running only from the CD and there was no
write access to persistent file system.

This issue is likely to have been a by-product of a hardware problem -
the AGP graphics adapter was slightly raised at the rear of the slot.
Other video-related problems with Windows were resolved by reseating the
adapter.

After running with my patch for a while, I saw the same behavior - cupsd
running at 100% CPU. In our environment, we're running only clients, so
the inability to bind port 631 wasn't immediately a problem. So, it
looks like my "quick fix" is a bust.

I don't see how I can make it anymore clear, i name the file containing
garbage and what the garbage was.
Someone on the dev team must have edited the file cut and pasted lines
into the file while doing it and forgotten to erase them after they
converted them to rules.
