What I've tried to do is challenge the argument for excluding it.
It isn't loaded by default. It is simply a small file that sits idle in

Another issue with this approach is the lack of linux-restricted-
modules-*-server. So, on my desktop at least, playing with OCFS2 is
going to require me to build my own modules, take them from the -server
package and drop them into my -generic /lib/modules, or reboot every
time I want to use OCFS2

The link that Josh provided holds the workaround that worked for me.
Basically, you need to replace --device by -D in the definition of the
rsync commands in /etc/backuppc/config.pl, otherwise Edgy clients refuse
to back up with the error mentioned above.

xserver-xorg-video-all and the libgl1-mesa packages. you will notice the

Sorry, this bug was in error, although only partly. It turned out that
the bonobo-activation-server still remained from an older session, and
therefore its DBUS_SESSION_BUS_ADDRESS environment variable was wrong
for the current session.

As I wrote, I only disabled dri and glx in xorg.conf, didn't change the driver
to vesa. Worked.
Two more Nvidia users with the black screen problem showed up on the
ubuntuusers.de forum, for them changing the driver to vesa made booting
the Live-CD possible.

That's not necessary. The parition was full. The problem was that the
documentation did not specify a minimum size for /boot. I found that a 20MB
partition does well (3 sectors on most newer drives). Usually my boot
partition is only 7 megs (1 sector). This was insufficient. Problem easily
builds installs and works

The system on which this occurs uses the i810 driver, but another system with
the same driver works. The video hardware on the non-working system is
reported as:

after some testing, i think this may also be related to how long Ctrl +
Shift + A is being held down. if you hold it down too long, there will
be multiple away messages, both "You are now marked as being away" and
"You are not marked as being away" perhaps this may be useful for
testing.

current one from the source tarball from the gstreamer website, ladspa
gets built. No idea why it's not built as part of the existing shipping
packages...

Just playing music. Only crashes when I have the Audioscrobbler
plugin enabled and configured. Disabled it and now it works fine, no
crash.
