Hi Robert,

I was actually using rsyncd with BackupPC and getting this error. I
refer you to the mailing list post by Craig Barratt (author of BackupPC
and File::RsyncP) that suggests the work-around and that the problem was
fixed upstream:
http://article.gmane.org/gmane.comp.sysutils.backup.backuppc.general/8463
- in that email you can see some history from Magnus Larsson who was
having similar problems but with rsync over ssh.

When I upgraded File::RsyncP manually to the latest version my problem
went away. I'm sorry BackupPC wasn't giving me any more details than
just the fileListReceive failed error.

I hope this helps, let me know if you want me to downgrade again and run
some more tests.

Regards,
Josh.
