dos/windoze-9x in qemu. As far as I can tell, the mkisofs in dapper works fine.

I agree,
I chose ubuntu because of it's release cycles (used to have gentoo but
it is too maintenance intensive and before that debian but it is too
slow/old in it's stable tree).
Installing a package and having it immediately segfault (especially
something like cyrus) is kind of a show stopper

contact with to get them submitted to the official repository. Please

Following Scott James Remnant I have fixed the UDEV rules:
- Corrected number of UDEV rules file from 11 to 85, according to
/etc/udev/rules.d/README (debian/11-hplj10xx.rules -> debian/85-hplj10xx.rules)
- 'BUS=="usb"' is deprecated, replaced with 'SUBSYSTEMS=="usb"'

I don't know much about Debian packages, but the unremovable error in
apt-get is annoying.
If I download the source package, untar it edit the file mentioned and
then tar it back up and build it via dpkg -b, take the binary package
and dpkg -i it will that remove the error?

Accepted into edgy-proposed. Steve, please notify the QA team via Simon
Law to verify that this bug has been fixed and that there are no

I was planning on fixing this issue by changing the patch to dhclient to
not complain about stale PID files. However, after I did that, it became
apparent that wlassistant had further problems, and I made the decision
that it would be easier to make wlassistant just cope with dhclient
complaining,
wlassistant 0.5.5-0ubuntu4 has been uploaded to Feisty, and has built on
all arches.

Crashed when glxinfo was executed, complete system-wide. Reset switch
was the only solution.
I was using the latest pre-packaged nvidia drivers as of 11-22. I'm
using Ubuntu-64 6.10, but have seen others on other forums with this
issue using Ubuntu-32 6.10.

The same problem was also reported (and the workaround that Zeratul used

I can also confirm this with all mp3-files (and videos encoded with an
mp3-audio-stream, a lot of divx-encoded movies do this) on
Confirmed again.
Edgy on an IBM T40 laptop
Incidentally I ran this same build of Wings3D on windows and it crashed
with similar conditions, though I unfortunately dont have the bug report
any longer.

upgrade from dapper to edgy = nfs not working. Often users get
permissions denied, or stale nfs file, in their own (automounted)
homedirs. Makes edgy useless as nfs server.
