I have the same problem. I use Dapper Drake. Everything was working fine for
the last 2 months! The system stops for a very long time at loading hardware
drivers and then halts with the following message

Sorry i was away for sometime and could not try the fix suggested.
Today i tried it and it worked but i am not convinced.
The fix just made eth1 not to be up during boot time. The problem i
reported had eth0 and eth1 up during boot time. i bring down eth1
manually after booting and go to hib

I've experienced this bug and, in my opinion it is quite bad, as it toally
crashes my computer to the point of needing a reset. For me, it seems to be
present when /dev/seq isn't there. Hence running the
sudo modprobe snd_seq
before running zynaddsubfx fixes the issue for me.

How did you perform the check? Adding a simple print statement to the part of
the code which is touched in the patch shows the full url here (no other
proxies or apt.conf settings).
Note that this is only for cases where apt and apt-proxy are running on
different machines. Local instance

lkh has been updated in edgy (version 2.6.17), almost everything seems
to be ok now.
The patch corrects the last thing that could be a problem.

Problem:
Installing Dapper Server on a system with an Adaptec RAID 2010S card
installs correctly, but when the system reboots to the installed OS, the
kernel cannot find the RAID card, and thus, fails to find the hard
drive.
Cause:
There are 2 drivers in the kernel for the
xine-lib (1.1.1+ubuntu2-7.2) dapper-security; urgency=low
* SECURITY UPDATE: Arbitrary code execution with crafted streams.
* src/input/mms[h].c: Fix multiple buffer overflows in embedded libmms,
thanks to patch from Matthias Hopf.
* src/input/input_http.c: Fixed previous security patch

Confirmed on Dapper/amd64 (dist-upgraded from breezy and up-to-date)
Erasing the ~/.dvdriprc does nothing. dvd::rip doesn't find his
dependencies.
dvd::rip debug show nothing relevant :
