geez, make up your mind. first you say you dont understand, then you
say i have a point, and now you say its invalid.
i still think that "full" should be the default again like it was in
hardy. maybe you can change the title of the bug or something. there
was no reason for it to be changed.
On Sa
ok, i had no idea what hinting was. but now that i do, i still think
that SOMETHING should be done. i think that hinting should be set to
"Full" by default when you select subpixel smoothing, like it was in
hardy, as it is simply much more aesthetically pleasing.
maybe they will redesign the font
"full" looks best on lcd monitors, and it was set to "full" previously.
secondly, changing the subpixel smoothing absolutely should NOT make fonts
larger, as this can do all sorts of things, like make certain windows
bigger, etc. the fonts grow horizontally and vertically. if i wanted this
behavior
just make it like it was in hardy, thats all. unless someone comes up with a
new kind of font configuration control panel thats better than the one we
currently have. but then we would have to wait for the next gnome release.
so for now, just make it how it was in hardy, cause it worked in hardy.
ok, thanks for setting the right package.

first of all, one of the tags are "intrepid". i also mention intrepid
inside brackets in the report.
second of all, this is an odd behavior that was not present in hardy.
third of all, even if you set the antialiasing to "none," you can
still select the hinting level, and it will still get bigger
