ok, i had no idea what hinting was. but now that i do, i still think
that SOMETHING should be done. i think that hinting should be set to
"Full" by default when you select subpixel smoothing, like it was in
hardy, as it is simply much more aesthetically pleasing.

maybe they will redesign the font control panel in the next gnome
release. that would be good.
