For some weeks I had similar crashes and sent endless crash reports. Then
found, that the crashes were related to clicking on certain mail-folders.
Digging into .thunderbird I found that those folders contained dublications
of sub-folders. Before I had cleaned up my mails and TB didn't organ
Maybe related, maybe not: thunderbird crashes since approx. a week 100% within
5 secs (well after upgrade to 12.04!) with some "GLX stuff". (do I need this
for reading plaintext-emails?)
No addons, all disabled..

Thank you for reporting this to Ubuntu. Sometimes Thunderbird
extensions can conflict. Could you please try disabling your extensions
with 'thunderbird -safe-mode' and see if that works? If it does, try
reenabling the extensions one by one until you find the problematic one.
