Actually, i'm happy with the positive confirmations so far for i386. I
am forced to use nvidia glx driver for time being so this no longer
directly affects me but I am assuming that the fix Timo released will
also be released for amd64? As long as this makes it into a bugfix
release through Updat

Version 2.0.2-1ubuntu0 also fix the bug for me.
I recently changed the BIOS version and made a clean install of Feisty
7.04, so I'll attach the log files before and after the fix. First, here
is the xorg.conf, which remains the same before and after the fix.

I've got the same issue on a HP Pavilion dv9074ea (also nVidia GeForce
Go 7600).
Similar to Aurel, both versions of the xserver-xorg-driver-nv package
from Timo works for me.

I had the same problems (Toshiba P100, GeForce GO 7900). The xserver-
xorg-driver-nv package from Timo fixed it, running 1440x900 again.
