I am helping an individual remotely that has 3 of these Toshiba Tecra A9
laptops, all with Ubuntu 12.04.5, and all having the "resume from
suspend failure" described here. So I am re-opening the bug as we have
access to someone that can help to give more information.

@penalvch Sorry but I no longer have access to the Toshiba Tecra A8 and
Toshiba Tecra M10 laptops that had these issues. As there are others on
this list that had "me too" comments I won't close the bug now, but
maybe you would want to. I will leave it to you.

Regarding the possibility of a duplicate of bug 966744, I don't think so
but I could be wrong.
I have one laptop (the Toshiba Tecra A9 from the original report) that
has the problem mentioned here: namely that every time it hangs it gives
me the "Resume failure" message. I have not had any hangs
